Shocking New Poll: Majority Of Men Think It’s OK For Women To Go Topless At The Beach
New poll results on how America feels about women’s chestal region has been revealed and the results are shocking. When it comes to going topless in public, most men are ok with it. That’s right. Stop the presses: A majority of American men are ok with women going topless in public. This is according to a poll on you.gov that was just released. The poll question was, “Should women have the right to go topless in public?” Two thumbs up from guys.
The poll results show that 47% of men over the age of forty five think it’s ok for women to go topless in public. Just 40% think it’s not ok for women to be topless in public. The rest aren’t sure if women should have that right. As for younger men, the poll results for men between the age of 18 and 44 stands at 45% in favor for “freeing the ladies”. In that age group, 40% think going topless shouldn’t be a right that women are entitled to.
So, you’re saying guys are ok with women going topless; with older men leading the way… Hmmm. Color me not-so-shocked. “Old Guys Are OK With Topless Women” isn’t exactly the news breaking headline that stops the presses.
But wait, there’s more. Because the poll didn’t just ask men how they felt about women being able to bare their breasts in public. The poll also asked women if they think they should have the right to go topless. To be clear, the poll was about more than going topless. Do Women Want To Go Topless In Public?
No shocker here, older women in America are very much less likely to think that it’s ok to go topless, or even have the right to go topless. Only 15% of women over the age of 45 are down with baring breasts or even having that right. A humongous 73% of the older demographic says, “no way”. The rest aren’t sure about baring the breast.
As for the younger respondents to the poll about having the right to go topless… 37% of women between the ages of 18 and 44 are cool with it; or at least being cool with having the right to go topless.
So there you go. I’m not sure that I’ve ever seen a woman go topless on a beach on the Jersey Shore (other than that nude beach at Sandy Hook which is apparently quite popular nationally); but I understand going topless is quite common in Europe.
