RIP Burt Young (a.k.a. Paulie from ‘Rocky’)
Burt Young, who famously played Paulie in the first six Rocky movies, passed away earlier this month (on October 8th). He was 83 years old. His manager said, quote, “Burt was an actor of tremendous emotional range. He could make you cry and he could scare you to death.”

Burt was also great in films like Back to School, Once Upon a Time in America, The Pope of Greenwich Village, and Chinatown. And he also appeared on a fantastic episode of The Sopranos as the father of Bobby “Bacala” Baccalieri where he wanted to do one last hit for the mob.

Rest easy, Burt! You were one of a kind! Great character actor and, according to those who worked with him, a great guy, too. RIP.
