Jersey Rock Band of the Week: ARCKIST
Rocking The Starland Ballroom in Support of Steven Adler on June 28!
ARCKIST is ready to rock their biggest show yet! The group will take the stage at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville this Friday night in support of Steven Adler, formerly of Guns N’ Roses! Speaking of the upcoming performance lead singer Lily said:
“On Friday, June 28 at Starland Ballroom, you can expect an incredible night of hard rock. We are going to do what we do best. This is our biggest show so far and we are ready. We will play mostly our originals but you can expect a classic or two–We’ve been known to play anything from Led Zeppelin to Deep Purple to ACDC to GNR. We have the best influences. You can hear it in our music, but not too much. We are high energy and live to play live….“
She continued:
“And then the legendary Steven Adler of Guns N Roses will take the stage and perform all the great songs he played drums on back on Appetite for Destruction. He’s got a sick new band. Incredible singer that sound like Axl in his prime. So psyched to perform and then to be in the audience for these classic songs.“
ARCKIST has advance tickets to the show available! E-mail [email protected] to score admission. Learn more at starlandballroom.com.
Tune to Jersey Rock on 95.9 The RAT Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night at 11:30 pm to learn more about the upcoming show in Sayreville. All four members of ARCKIST will call in each night as we turn up cuts from their catalog. On Thursday night we will premier ARCKIST’s latest single “Raw Whiskey Blues”. Lily had this to say about the upcoming single:
“We released our latest song “Rot” a couple months ago. It’s done really well on Spotify and all the digital platforms. But we have a brand new one we want to world premiere on the WRAT. It won’t be released til August 2nd but we are so happy with it and just got the master back. It’s called “Raw Whiskey Blues”. We’ve recorded our last two singles with the legendary Joe DeMaio at Shorefire Studios in Long Branch. Our youth and his expertise are really an amazing combination. He’s recorded so many classic albums. It’s such an honor to work with him. We think a little has rubbed off on us. It’s a straight up rocker. Heavy electric slide guitars. It’s a summertime song. Just has that great summertime party feel.”
And ARCKIST has a lot planned for the near future. Lily continued:
“Well, the release of “Raw Whiskey Blues” to all digital platforms on August 2nd is the first thing. We have enough new material for a full length album. We are starting to put our focus there. We have a 5 song EP and three singles out so far (all on Spotify, etc). It’s time we do our debut full length album. We have lots of gigs coming up this summer. Dingbatz on August 17, for example. All on our website: ARCKIST.com“
