New Jersey Man Busted Stealing Over $9,000 In Lottery Tickets
A 41-year-old man from Burlington County was arrested for allegedly breaking into a convenience store and caught with $9,300 in Jersey lottery tickets.
The Somerset County Prosecutors Office said the arrest was linked to a reported break-in that happened last month on March 14th.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, The Franklin Township Police got a crazy 911 call, saying there was a burglary in progress, at a store on Easton Ave. This guy not only stole a stack of New Jersey Lottery scratch-off tickets, but also went nuts and broke up the store, smashing in the front glass door, and causing about $3 grand worth of damage.

Detectives said the 41-year-old suspect, who goes by the name of Joseph Holman, of Burlington, is behind this crime. Believe it or not, Holman has been behind bars in Middlesex County jail on other charges.
The police and detectives actually tied him into this break-in and robbed the lottery tickets.
A couple of days back on April 4th, he faced multiple charges. They are hitting him with third-degree counts of burglary and theft, as well as fourth-degree criminal mischief, and tacked on possession of burglary tools and disorderly person offense.
I’m pretty sure after stealing the lottery tickets, the people who run the lottery can just cancel them, and not make them valid.
He is going to remain in custody until his hearing in court.
