Ocean County Chef Competes for $150,000 In Another Guy Fieri Competition
Ocean County New Jersey Chef, Britt Rescigno is ready to compete again in Guy Fieri’s Tournament Of Champions!
Chef Britt Rescigno, formerly of New Gretna and Tuckerton, used to be the executive chef at the Delaware Avenue Oyster House & Bar on Long Beach Blvd in Beach Haven. She was a rock star long before she hit the Food Network!
Chef Britt has been living her dream since childhood.
According to chef Britt’s bio, Chef Britt’s childhood home sits next door to her grandparent’s restaurant, Allen’s Clam Bar (New Gretna, N.J.), where she fell in love with North Atlantic seafood and fresh ingredients from the gardens and farms of New Jersey. She did prep at the restaurant before school and throughout her childhood until becoming a line cook at the age of thirteen where she began to hone her skills as a chef.
If you’re a super fan of Food Network, you’re probably familiar with Chef Britt.
Chef Britt appeared on Food Network’s “Tournament of Champions” last year, where she got to compete in the final four. Britt has also been on “Guy’s Grocery Game,” “Chopped” and “Beat Bobby Flay.”
By the way, she beat Bobby Flay, won the “Chopped” competition, and nailed a victory on “Guy’s Grocery Game.”
Chef Britt is becoming so familiar to viewers, she should be close to getting her own show on the famed network.

This Coming Sunday night, Chef Britt will join 31 other chefs looking to eliminate one another in this sudden-death, bracket-style culinary competition to win a grand prize of $150,000.
According to a Food Network press release, “As the wildest, most anticipated culinary competition year-after-year, you know that we had to go big for season five,” said Fieri. “So, here’s the deal, in order to win, you’ve gotta either be a past champ or take down a champ, as all the winners from previous seasons are back to defend their titles. We’re crankin’ up the already fierce competition with heated culinary rivalries, wild cards, and of course, off-the-charts flavor on Tournament of Champions V!”
The chefs representing the East Coast are: Eric Adjepong, Karen Akunowicz, Kelsey Barnard Clark, season 2 champion Maneet Chauhan, Tobias Dorzon, season 3 champion Tiffani Faison, Amanda Freitag, Jose Garces, Stephanie Izard, Marc Murphy, Britt Rescigno, Jonathon Sawyer, and Dale Talde.
The chefs showing off their chops from the West Coast are: Carlos Anthony, Shirley Chung, season 4 champion Mei Lin, Antonia Lofaso, Crista Luedtke, Brian Malarkey, Shota Nakajima, Joe Sasto, Adam Sobel, Casey Thompson, Jet Tila, Michael Voltaggio, season 1 champion Brooke Williamson, and Lee Anne Wong.
