The Best Lunches At Bar Anticipation In Lake Como, NJ From An Expert
Of course, Bar Anticipation located at 703 16th avenue in Lake Como New Jersey is a world renowned nightclub. It has a spacious bi level, multi room indoor area with a huge stage. Furthermore, it’s sprawling backyard, with tiki bars, sand, waterfalls, and more, truly makes it the place “Where Summer Never Ends”. However, many people overlook Bar A for one of its finest attributes: The Daily Blue Plate Special!
What is a “Blue Plate Special”?
According to Wikipedia, a blue-plate special is a discount-priced meal that usually changes daily: a term used in the United States and Canada by restaurants, especially diners and cafes. The term was very common from the 1920s through the 1950s. As of 2007, there are still a few restaurants and diners that offer blue-plate specials under that name, sometimes on blue plates, but it is a vanishing tradition. However, the phrase is still a common American colloquialism.
We brought in a Blue Plate Special Expert.
Meanwhile, Bar Anticipations menu shows all the delicious Blue Plate Specials they offer each and every day https://bar-a.com/dining/daily-specials/ However, it takes a real expert to rank them. Someone who spends more time there that at his actual job. We know that guy. You know that guy. It’s Mr. Bar A. Mr. Miller Lite. Mr. Blue Plate Special. It’s America’s Sweetheart. It’s Gotts.
Gotts doesn’t know much. But he knows Bar Anticipation. Furthermore, he LOVES their Blue Plate Special Lunches. Even though I’ve had them a few times over the years, and quite like them myself, I know I need to defer to an expert in this department. Not a week goes by that old Gottsie doesn’t have at least one lunch at Bar A. That’s not counting liquid lunch of course.
So, without further adieu, here is the Gotts Man’s official ranking, in order of his favorites, of Bar Anticipation’s Blue Plate Special lunches, complete with starch and veg, Monday through Friday 11-4, for $7.95.
