Watch The Full Doc Of ‘Stanley Kubrick: A Life In Pictures”
What’s up, Rat Rock Nation?! Davey Mac of the Morning Rat Race here and I was traveling down a YouTube vortex of vides from The Shining and Full Metal Jacket when this amazing doc popped up!
It’s a full-length documentary feature on one of the greatest directors of all time (and director of those two aforementioned films) Stanley Kubrick. Kubrick is one of the visionaries of cinema and his resume is one of the greatest ever.
In chronologic order: Kubrick directed the legendary film Spartacus, the controversial Lolita, the amazing war satire Dr. Strangelove, the epic and innovative 2001: A Space Odyssey, the ultra-controversial A Clockwork Orange, the horror classic The Shining, the incredible war movie Full Metal Jacket, and the surreal and gothic Eyes Wide Shut. Those are, quite simply, some of the most important and greatest films ever.
In Stanley Kubrick: A Life In Pictures, viewers are treated to legends like Jack Nicholson, Steven Spielberg, Tom Cruise, and more discussing the reclusive director’s iconic career and move away from America and Hollywood. Kubrick, a native New Yorker raised in the Bronx, eventually moved to a secluded complex in England where he remained until his death.
It’s a fantastic documentary about one of the most brilliant (and interesting) film-makers ever. Check it out now!
