Remember That Time When Gotts Took A Blow Up Doll On A Real Date? Here’s The Video From 2008
Gotts has always been a real ladies man. This video from back in the day shows he’s a fake ladies man too!
It all began when Gotts was invited to be a part time guest now and again on the Morning Rat Race with Carl and his then partner Mr. Marty. Gotts quickly found radio wasn’t as simple as turning a microphone on and saying some funny lines. In fact, he quickly found himself in hot water, and incurring the rathe and anger of Carl. Furthermore, Gotts was getting, let’s just say not so helpful advice from Marty, who was always trying to stir the radio pot, as well as smoke it.
Gotts and Demerits.
It got so bad, that Carl initiated a system where Gotts would lose credibility and eventually his job, if he didn’t work off demerits imposed by the morning team. Meanwhile, the boys came up with some interesting scenarios, helped and encouraged by the Rat listening audience, to help the Kid work off his demerits. Dressing up as various characters. Pushing a shopping cart down Route 9. Wearing a diaper, and nothing else in public places. Of course one of the all time classics was reading “Twas the night before Christmas” while wearing a shock collar controlled by Carl and Marty.
The Date.
However, this one is my favorite, I think. We really should thank the comedy Gods above that someone had the presence of mind not only to film the date, but record video of the actual moment a listener called in with the idea for this once in a lifetime event. JD from BLS even showed up! The restaurant the couple went to was Tiffany’s, on Route 37 in Toms River, co owned by New Jersey Native and NFL All Pro and Super Bowl Champion Tony Siragusa. Sadly, Tony is no longer with us, and Tiffany’s is now a Mexican Restaurant. As for the doll, well there’s a good likely hood she got punctured that night, never to be seen again. However, has anyone ever looked in Gott’s closet? Yeah, bad idea.
Here’s the video, from around Christmas 2008. God help us all.
