Jersey Rock Band of the Week: Yawn Mower
Yawn Mower has long been a force to cut down boredom, building a fanbase with a steady stream of fuzzy Rock tracks since 2016. To date they have released seven EP’s and now they finally have a full-length album. The 2020 lockdown lead to a buildup of new tracks in Yawn Mower’s sound vault, which in turn lead to the production of an LP. “To Each Their Own Coat” might be a diversion in size, with a little sonic experimentation thrown in, but otherwise makes no course correction. It will please long time fans of the duo of Mike Chick and Biff Swenson while providing an excellent introduction to newcomers. It’s available on CD, vinyl, and digital via Mint 400 Records!
Yawn Mower is about to head out on tour in support of the new album. Many of the shows will be well within road trip distance. Check out all of the tour dates HERE. Yawn Mower will return to Asbury Park on Saturday November 26 to celebrate the release of “To Each Their Own Coat” with an epic show at House Of Independents! The bill includes Echo Plum, Dentist, and Surf Haven. Tickets are $15 in advance. Score them at houseofindependents.com or by reaching out to the band directly on social media!
Tune to Jersey Rock on 95.9 The Rat Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:30 pm to hear cuts from “To Each Their Own Coat.” Biff Swenson and Mike Chick will call in to the show each night!
