The last time Morningside Lane performed in Asbury Park was March of 2020, approximately 10 days before the Garden State went into its covid-19 lockdown. That night, before at packed house at the Jersey Rock Showcase at The Wonder Bar, lead singer Marc DelGuidice remarked that his home town of Fort Lee had just recorded the state's first positive case of the corona virus. It was a great night of music, even though dark clouds were looming overhead. Fast-forward to the summer of 2021 and we are looking forward to brighter days ahead.
Coming out of the lockdown Morningside Lane released a brand new single. "Temperamental" is the first of a string of singles coming soon from the band. Despite it's upbeat summer sound, it is full of serious undertones. That fact alone makes it the perfect tune for a summer that looks to balance optimistic caution with need to let loose.
