(WATCH) Jersey Rock Video of the Week: Broken Past “Some Gave All”
The release of Broken Past’s latest video was specifically timed coincide with Veterans Day. “Some Gave All” went live on 11/11/19. It is a powerful track with deep lyrics, soaring instrumentals, and booming vocals, however it’s epic audio achievement pales in comparison to the visual impact of the song’s accompanying music video.
Standing among statues commemorating past heroes and flanked by living heroes, Broken Past performs to honor all who have put their lives on the line to defend the United States. High production values aside, the video shines with serious emotion, depicting the pain of loss felt by those left behind as well as the burden carried by those who made it home. It is a beautiful tribute to all who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend freedom.
The video for “Some Gave All” was shot at Bay Lea Park in Toms River and makes excellent use of a beautiful veterans memorial on the site. It was produced by Zakk Blakk with camera work by Zakk Blakk and Christian Meyer.
Broken Past is currently working on a new full-length album. Their latest EP “Time For Change” is available now on HighVolMusic. You can score a copy HERE.
