Jersey Woman Suing JetBlue After Injuring Herself Eating ‘Dangerously Cold’ Ice Cream
Well here is one for ya, as a New Jersey woman named Karla Quinonez, of Perth Amboy, is suing JetBlue for serving her an ice cream sandwich that was too cold.
I mean this is up there when people were suing McDonald’s for giving coffee out that was too hot. According to JetBlue Airlines, she thinks someone should have warned her that the ice cream was like a block of ice.
She and her fiancé flew from New York to Paris back in August, and one of the snack options on their flight was a “chomp size” strawberry shortcake ice cream sandwich.
It’s made by a company called Nightingale. It has gotten a lot of great reviews by the way and sounds delicious.
What Happened
Unfortunately, she chomped down on it without realizing the sandwich was frozen solid, and she broke a tooth. It cracked the tooth down to the root, and she had to have it pulled by a dentist as soon as they landed. She got an implant later on.
She cracked her upper left incisor which is located right next to her two front teeth. She says the ice cream sandwich was like a block of ice, and “dangerously cold” the flight attendant should have warned her.
She’s suing for damages, plus pain and suffering. A jury will decide if she deserves any money, and how much.
Gotts Opinion On This Story
I think we need to tell Karla, that if the ice cream was that hard maybe give it a minute to get a little softer before biting into it….
Not to mention, I have never got ice cream on a plane before, If that airline cart is coming down the aisle I’m sitting at, I’m asking for something cold alright, but it will be in beer form.
