Break-Ins at 2 Toms River Businesses Thieves Steal Cash.
This pisses me off to no end. This is my town, and I frequent these 2 businesses. The sleaze bags responsible must be caught! Please share the embedded video in this article and lets catch these losers.
I’m sorry to have to report that Breakin’ Bread Eatery and New York Water Bagel, both on Fischer Blvd in Toms River have been victims of vandals and thieves.
In a press release, Toms River police said they were investigating burglaries, thefts, and “criminal mischief”.
The burglaries happened during the overnight on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 and Wednesday April 17,2024.
The filthy animals who committed these crimes smashed the front window of Breakin Bread with a brick and stole a safe & a register containing cash.
The following message appeared on Breakin’ Bread’s Facebook Page:
The creep or creeps also shattered the front window of New York Water Bagel with a paver brick and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from one of my favorite hometown bagel shops.
Hopefully other surveillance cameras around town will help identify these thieves.
Watch the surveillance video of the thief breaking the window and climbing out through the broken window with the safe from Breakin’ Bread below.
According to the Toms River Shorebeat, Breakin’ Bread, an Italian eatery located on Fischer Boulevard, posted photos of the suspect – and damage to its entrance – on Tuesday. The restaurant later published a Facebook post (embedded below) containing videos of the incident. In the video, a man in dark clothing is seen using an object, possibly a cinder block, to break the glass door of the restaurant and enter. He is then seen sneaking through the hole in the door, and a later surveillance photograph shows him calmly walking down Merrimack Street with the business’s safe in his hands.
Anyone with information about the burglaries should call the Toms River Police Department at 732-349-0150, ext. 1292.
