Food. Love. Home. An in-person cooking demonstration and fundraiser is taking place at JBJ Soul Kitchen in Toms River,  on Wednesday, February 7th from 6pm until 8pm.

Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity and JBJ Soul Kitchen are combining their missions for this event. The ultimate goal is to provide two of the most important resources for Ocean County families; the security of a roof over their head and food on their tables.

Here's a little bit about JBJ Soul Kitchen.

According to the company's website, JBJ Soul Kitchen is a non-profit Community Restaurant, run by the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, that serves paying and in-need customers. Furthermore, a Community Restaurant is a place where individuals or families can come to eat a delicious farm-to-table meal in a warm, welcoming setting and meet our neighbors. Meanwhile, there are no prices on the JBJ Soul Kitchen menu. If you are unable to pay the suggested donation, you may still enjoy a delicious meal. Moreover, JBJSK invites you to join their community to learn about resources and volunteer opportunities at the JBJ Soul Kitchen. There are currently two JBJ Soul Kitchen locations. One is in Monmouth County, at 207 Monmouth Street in Red Bank. The other location, where this demonstration is taking place, is at 1769 Hooper Avenue in the Silverton section of Toms River.

So what's on the menu for this event?

The menu for this Food. Love. Home. Cooking demo event looks absolutely scrumptious! Firstly, there is a delicious seasonal Fennel and Citrus Salad, topped with mixed Mandarin oranges, Parmesan cheese, and red onions. The salad is then dressed with a citrus vinaigrette. Next, the Main Course. Get ready for some hearty winter fare. Pork Osso Bucco, with red wine demi glaze, served with goat cheese mashed potatoes, and grilled asparagus. My mouth is watering just writing the words! Finally, a meal this special has to end on a total high note. The dessert doesn't let down, with a serving of Creme Brulee with strawberry garnis!

The price for this 3 course gourmet meal, along with a swag bag and chance at some great door prizes, is 60 dollars. Reservations are not needed at JBJ Soul Kitchen. They welcome everyone at their table and will seat guests on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note:  in-need diners are given first priority.
