With Signage Up, MJ’s Is Getting Closer To Opening In Brick, New Jersey
Even before the closing of Sweeney’s at 447 Brick Boulevard in Brick late last year, word had gotten out. MJ’s Bar & Grill was coming to town!
Now with signage up with the familiar MJ’s logo on the building, one thing is for sure. It won’t be long until the MJ’s empire expands to Bricktown.
About MJ’s.
According to their menu on their website, MJ’s philosophy is a simple one: Sit. Relax. Enjoy. Meanwhile, that’s just what crowds have been doing for over a decade at the various properties MJ’s now occupies in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Included on that list are the bar and grills at 19 Summerhill Road in Spottswood, 845 Route 34 in Matawan, and 1005 Route 35 in Middletown. Furthermore, Jersey Shore locations include 104 Myrtle Avenue in Long Branch, 2013 Sycamore Avenue in Tinton Falls, and the very popular Neptune location, at 3205 Route 66. More recently, MJ’s expanded into Ocean County, with the opening of the large former Cove restaurant and bar at 905 Bay Boulevard, in Bayville. Now comes their first Northern Ocean County addition to the franchise with the Brick Boulevard location. Furthermore, the Matawan location also boasts the famous Buttonwood Manor, for weddings and other special events.
In addition to their popular wings, MJ’s is also known for their burgers, sandwiches, and wraps. As well as salads, tacos and entrees. Of course many people know MJ’s strictly for their gourmet pizza. In addition to their wide array of food selections, MJ’s also has happy hour specials, Karaoke nights, live music, a special Sunday Football menu and more.
When word came down that Sweeny’s was closing and MJ’s eight location was arriving, rumor had it that the latest incarnation of the local sports bar chain would open in November. However, as happens most times, things take time with permits, remodeling, and staffing. Hopefully the new MJ’s in Brick will be open in time for the football playoffs and the Big Game in February!
