An annual Toms River tradition returns Thanksgiving Weekend, when the Silverton Volunteer Fire Company begins selling their fresh cut Christmas Trees.

The Firehouse, located at 15 Kettle Creek Road in the Silverton section of Toms River is anticipating delivery of the Balsams and Frazier Furs on Saturday, November 25th. At that time members of the Company will have to off load the truck, and prep the trees for sale. Meanwhile, depending on delivery time, the Firehouse may be open for business as early as Saturday afternoon or evening. If not, the official opening of the 2023 Silverton Volunteer Fire Company Christmas Tree Fundraiser will be Sunday morning, November 26th at 10am.

The Fire Company is expecting some 350 Christmas trees in stock. Furthermore, if you are familiar with this fundraising event, you know these trees will go quick! I myself can attest to missing out on a tree a few times over the years. Meanwhile, you can even arrange for SANTA himself to deliver your tree to your home on one of the Fire Trucks!!! AWESOME DUDE!

All sales benefit the Fire Company.

The sale of all of the Silverton Volunteer Fire Company's Trees go directly to benefitting the Fire Company, it's members, auxiliary, equipment, facilities, vehicles, and more. Moreover, In past years these amazing looking and smelling trees have been gotten from tree farms in Pennsylvania. At the time of this publication, there is no info on where exactly this years crop is from. However, if you ask local Silvertonians, many will tell you that the Firehouse trees are some of the best they've every had in their homes for the Holiday Season.

Favorite Pastime (other than masturbation, of course): Cheering for the Yankees, and crying for the J-E-T-S!!! Favorite Food: Hot Sauce…I collect ’em! Favorite Drink: PRUNO…look it up, if you dare! Favorite Movies: The Exorcist, Planet of The Apes (the original), To Kill a Mockingbird, Annie Hall, and of course GF 1 & GF 2…I heard that’s how the real fans refer to them. Favorite Movie Line: easy…Murry-Caddyshack-“big hitter, the Lama”…f#$*in’ riot! Best Rat Rock Bands: STP, VH, ZEP, PEARL JAM, FOOS, PEPPERS,AC/DC Favorite New Bands: Glorious Sons, Rival Sons, Dirty Honey Most Embarrassing Moment: the moment my mother reads this shit! Best Day: I know a lot of folks say this, but it’s true: the day my little girl Jynell and my boy Big D were born! Next to that, it would have to be the day I was baked on earth day in Central Park and met Keefer Sutherland…baked too, I believe.
