“Blended” Fresh Food Coming To A New Location In Point Pleasant
Blended, a fast casual fresh food restaurant that formerly had a location on Ocean Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach, is opening soon in Point Borough.
What is Blended?
Blended is a fast casual restaurant that will feature (according to their sign), Smoothies, Juices, and Bubble Tea. Furthermore, there will be lunchtime options such as Bowls, Salads, and Pitas.
The previous incarnation in Point Pleasant Beach offered ice cream, which according to Yelp reviews was quite popular.
The new location is a popular one.
Photos taken this weekend show that the upcoming Blended will be located at 3201 Bridge Avenue in Point Pleasant Borough. Furthermore, The strip mall is known as Bridge Plaza, and currently houses the much beloved Rook Coffee Roasters, as well as the popular Boro Boxing And Muy Thai. Unfortunately, the specific store front that Blended will be going in, hasn’t seen much success in recent years. Blended aims to change that. Currently, the signs of the former restaurant still remain up. That of course was the once wildly popular Beef Boys Sandwich Shop. Prior to that, you may remember Hoagie Joe’s, which also was a place for subs, as well as wraps and salads. One would think Blended may have a better chance at success, with it’s breakfast type offerings and proximity to the Rook.
The offering are popular in nature.
Meanwhile, the menu items on the “coming soon” sign for Blended suggest they will be following a popular formula. All be it one that has been used quite a bit throughout the Jersey Shore for the past decade. Bowls, from breakfast foods like yogurt, granola and acai are very popular. Also, savory lunch and dinner bowls featuring chicken, seafood, and plant based options are all the rage now as well. Moreover, Bubble Teas have gone from a treat from an Asian marketplace or restaurant, to kiosks in malls across the United States. There will always be a place for Smoothie and Juice joints on any block. Same with a well done salad. Finally, regarding pitas, this may be where Blended finds their niche with the lunchtime crowd. Not a lot of places are doing pitas for a lunch option, outside of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean dining. A good pita lunch with cold cuts as well as vegan options, would be a welcome change to the average deli choices.
As of now there is no info on an opening date for the new Blended. However we will keep an eye out for it, hopefully before years end! ![blended](https://wrat.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/27/2023/10/BLENDED-2-225x300.jpg)
