Air Conditioning Beer ?
Well Rat Rockers we all love our beer really cold but this changes the game here. Out in San Diego’s East Village Brewing Company they decided to come up with two new interesting beers. They just came out with a West Coast IPA and a German pilsner and to make it they are using CONDENSATION from the air conditioning units from the San Diego International Airport !
I’m pretty sure you have heard of some beers with new fun ingredients, and adding some crazy stuff to keep beer interesting but would you try this knowing the water used to make it came from and air conditioning unit? I don’t even know or who came up with the idea on saying “Yeah lets use condensation water from the air conditioning units at the San Diego Airport to make beer ”
Be that as it may, it looks like the San Diego’s East Village Brewing Company and the San Diego’s Airport teamed up and said we will use your precious water to make these beers. What they want us to know that the water is purified and then used to make the two new beers.
The IPA beer is called “Hoppy Travels” and the German style pilsner is called “Preflight Pils”. The Hoppy Travels IPA does have a grapefruit and guava flavor, and the Preflight Pils has the taste of lemon zest and somewhat of a bready flavor.
The two beers were announced just a few weeks ago, but the word is spreading very fast now. So you know for sure if you fly into San Diego in the future you can be sure to find these two beers at one of the bar around the airport on tap, knowing the beer was made from the air conditioning condensation water.
I say lets give it a shot and CHEERS TO BEERS ! Thank you for taking time out to read this post and as always thank you for rocking out with me and 95.9 The Rat- Gotts.
