Another year is just about over but before the new one begins, Telegraph Hill Records will send off 2022 with an epic two-day music festival! “What A Wonderful Year,” now in its sixth year, features twenty bands on two stages across two nights. Each night ten alternating bands will rock the world famous Wonder Bar in Asbury Park with an almost non-stop barrage of original local music.
Night One of “What A Wonderful Year” rocks The Wonder Bar in Asbury Park on December 29 with Jarod Clemons and The Late Nights, Levy Okun, Bobby Mahoney and The Seventh Son, Renee Maskin, The Extensions, Drewsie, Candy Cavity, Nikki Nailbomb, Olivia Bec, and Izzy Miz. Tickets for Night One are $20 and are available HERE.
Night Two features Alexander Simone & WHODAT? Live Crew, King Ramses, The Foes Of Fern, 8Dayzstr8, Pamela Flores, Dan Apy, Blaise, Lexx Banko, Karma Gambit, and Scxtty. Tickets for Night Two are $20 and are available HERE.
Doors are at 7:00 pm for both nights. If you plan on attending both evenings, we recommend you score a two-day pass for $35 HERE. You can also by tickets by reaching out to any one of the twenty bands performing at the festival.
This year’s event will reach beyond the boundaries of the Wonder Bar, across Kingsley Street to the Danny Clinch Transparent Gallery for “What A Wonderful Cheer,” a networking event with the two worthy non-profits benefitting from this year’s festivities. The Asbury Park African American Music Project is a historical preservation society focused on Asbury Park’s rich African American music history. The Project Matters aids young artists through financial, business, legal, educational, and emotional support. “What A Wondeful Cheer” takes place on Thursday December 29 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
“What A Wonderful Year” will reach even further, beyond Asbury Park and right to your local liquor store with “What A Wonderful Beer,” a festive amber ale from Last Wave Brewing. Keep an eye out for limited edition four-packs in the wild! “What A Wonderful Beer” will be available at The Wonder Bar on December 29 and 30.
Tune to Jersey Rock on 95.9 The Rat to hear some of the artists playing Asbury Park’s annual after party! We’ll turn up tunes from Bobby Mahoney and The Seventh Son, Jarod Clemons and The Late Nights, and Alexander Simone & WHODAT? Live Crew! Telegraph Hill Records President/Producer Joe Pomarico will call in to the show each night!
