We’re counting down the end of 2020 with an epic week on Jersey Rock! Each night we’ll feature a brand new track from a local act. Like many on the Jersey Rock scene, these artists defied a year that shut down live music and produced awesome works of creativity.
Here’s the breakdown:
Tuesday 12/29 – Backyard Superheroes
Josh and Gary from Backyard Superheroes call in to the show to tell us about their brand new song “Quarantine Christmas”! The track is part of a special compilation “Arose Such A Clatter.” A donation of $5 or more gets you the entire 40+ band effort and benefits Toys For Tots. Wednesday 12/30 – Nick Ryan & The Mess
Nick Ryan calls in with a brand new single. 2020 saw Nick Ryan & The Mess release arguably their best track and music video yet. “Waiting” is the perfect song for anyone looking ahead to brighter days. Nick kept busy throughout the year, performing on both the Jersey Rock Showcase and Jersey Rock Home Showcase series, releasing a new track with Taylor Tote, and putting out his latest single “Give.” Keep an eye out for a new album in 2021! Thursday 12/31 – Bobby Mahoney And The Seventh Son
Bobby Mahoney closes out 2020 with the perfect track. “Roaring 20’s” was originally released on Bobby Mahoney And The Seventh Son’s self-titled album. The band performed the track at Telegraph Hill Records “What A Wonderful Year 2019” show at The Wonder Bar in Asbury Park last December.
