Jersey Rock Band of the Week: Painted Young
Vote for Them Now in the Sad Summer Festival Battle of the Bands!!!
Matawan’s Painted Young is energetic and ever-evolving Rock Outfit. A cover band in a past life, they journeyed through the world of Pop Punk to arrive at their current musical destination. Their tunes are catchy, upbeat, and perfect for a summer festival. Speaking of which, the band is currently competing for a spot on Journey’s Sad Summer Festival.
You can vote for Painted Young now at battle.sadsummerfest.com.
Should they get enough votes, Painted Young will be able to select whatever date on the festival they want. While the familiar Stone Pony Summer Stage is available, other options include The Rooftop at Pier 17 in NYC, The Lot at City National Grove of Anaheim, CA and many more high-profile locations across the country. It’s a great opportunity for any band and we wish them the best of luck!
We are especially pulling for them because the covid-19 pandemic cheated them out of their Jersey Rock Showcase Series performance. The final show on the 2020 series featuring Painted Young and a number of other great acts was cancelled when the world went into lockdown.
Painted Young’s latest EP “The Smallest Similarities” is available now. Find all of their releases via their linktree page!
Tune to Jersey Rock Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:30 pm to hear cuts from across Painted Young’s catalog. Singer/guitar player Chris Santos and drummer Bailey Hand will call in to the show each night!
