Jersey Man Pleads Guilty To Possession of Pipe Bombs
Whoah! A man from Mount Laurel admitted in federal court that he had pipe bombs during an arrest a year ago.
52-year-old Jeremy Giliberti pleaded guilty to having these devices Tuesday afternoon.
The Day Of the Arrest
Almost exactly one year ago, Hamilton officers were called to the area of South Broad Street and Oldfield Avenue, when they conducted a vehicle stop on Giliberti.
Police searched Jeremy’s car for drugs and found a small duffle bag on the front, passenger-side floorboard. Officers looked inside the bag and found four pipe bombs. A search warrant was issued and police found ANOTHER one inside his home.
They are unsure of what, Jeremey Giliberti planned to do with the pipe bombs. No court documents or public statements about this case did say any potential motive. Giliberti did tell the police that he built the devices in the duffle bags, but also he lied and told them that they were fireworks, according to police documents.
Let’s just be thankful that these and Jeremy are off the streets. He is facing up to 10 years in prison. His sentencing is scheduled forDecember 3rd.
