Check it out Rat Rockers a $30 million development project has been thrown on the table that could change Point Pleasant Beach around.

Some of the new things would be a brand-new hotel, some new retail stores, and new apartments. This would all be down the street from Jenks Boardwalk, about 5 blocks away.

Point Pleasant says this transformation will bring in some new revenue to the beach area. These brand-new additions should and could create 100 jobs and add $400,000 annually in taxes. Most of this plan would turn a bank that is not in business into a hotel run by Wyndham.

The Wyndham hotel would be 58 rooms and would be located at Atlantic Ave and Route 35. Do 58 rooms seem like enough? Well, the Wyndham Hotel says “Gone are the days of 200 to 300 rooms that really are half-empty.”  It was the old “Bank Of America” which closed down just about 4 years ago.
