Big Time Actor And Famous Boxer Launches New Whiskey In NJ
Hey there Rat Nation, we are going to have a new whiskey on our hands and it looks like the money you spend on it will go to a great cause.
A big-time actor named Liev Schreiber put out his new whiskey and launched it at Alchemy Room at the Allied Beverage in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Also in attendance was legendary and well-known Jersey boxer Chuck Wepner better known as the Bayonne Bleeder and the inspiration for the great movie “Rocky.”
These two greats are promoting the new whiskey line Slainte Irish Whiskey, which is run by the famous actor Liev Schreiber. This whiskey is distilled in Ireland and aged in American bourbon oak barrels and also to add some extra flavor it is finished in sherry casks.
According to News 12 New Jersey, when you purchase the new Slainte Irish Whiskey $1 will go to send life-saving aid in Ukraine. If your wondering who is Liev Schriber you can always remember him from movies and making appearances in “Ray Donovan,” The Hurricane,” “Spotlight,” “Scream 2,” and some work on the “Spider-Man” series, plus others as well.
Liev Schreiber back in 2016 even portrayed Chuck Wepner in a flick called “Chuck.” If you don’t know already Chuck Wepner is most likely famous for his 1975 fight with the world-famous and maybe the best boxer to live, Muhammad Ali, which by the way fell just a couple of seconds short of going the full fifteen rounds. That’s right there is why we now have the movie “Rocky.”
This new whisky is only being sold in a couple of places and states, New Jersey being one of them. I say with St Patty’s day coming up we should most definitely get some of this and give it a go. Here at The Rat, we do love our whiskey. Thank you for reading and as always rocking out with The Rat- Gotts
