New Survey Says 1 In 5 Gen Z’ers Can’t Change A Light Bulb
How many Gen Z’ers does it take to screw in a light bulb?
You might think this is a silly thing to ask, but a new survey just came out saying 1 in 5 Gen Z’ers can’t change light bulbs. Check it out, in this further study it says, one in five people between the ages of 18 to 27 claimed they couldn’t change a light bulb, and would just hire someone else to do it. Especially if it was a ceiling light, going up a ladder would be “too dangerous,” according to telegraph.co.uk.
The survey even states that Gen Z’ers are spending more than $1,500 a year, on average, calling in some pros to do basic jobs they could probably do themselves. That’s five times what Boomers spend on stuff and things of that nature. Also here ya go it’s not just changing light bulbs.
This survey also found that a lot of Gen Z’ers don’t know how to do basic car maintenance even just cleaning it. They are having issues just hanging picture frames, and some don’t recognize common tools, like wrenches. REALLY !!!
Gotts’ Thoughts On This New Survey
Here is the thing is this just a sign of being lazy? If I were to guess I’m going to say that is exactly what it is. It can’t be that hard to screw in a light bulb. As a kid, I was always helping out around the house with changing light bulbs or even helping my dad just work on his car, and learning how to fix something when it was broken.
I do see a lot of parents today, who babysat their kids, and no I won’t mention any names. It is sad that many kids can’t do some easy work, or just take the time out to see how something works, even if something breaks maybe learn how to fix it on their own.
