Hide And Seek With A Cop Event Planned
Hey, Carl Craft here. Me and Gotts had a fun time with this story out of Oregon about a Hide And Seek With A Cop event that was recently announced in a small town in Oregon. See the full video from the Morning Rat Race below.
The Hide And Seek With A Cop event is coming up next Wednesday, October 30th. Cops in Sherwood, Oregon have a commitment to the idea of community relations. The Sherwood Police is one group of cops that go well beyond the usual, “Shop With A Cop” type events.
How “Hide And Seek With A Cop” Works
The event takes place in a local park at night. Uniformed and armed Sherwood police officers will be hiding in the woods of a local park. Residents to participate have to run across the park to a check point on the other side. At the checkpoint they get a marker that tells organizers that they made it across. After that, each participant has to make it back to the starting point.

Anyone who makes it across the park and back to the check in gets a prize. As the Facebook post states, “It’s the only chance to run from the cops without consequences~”
We weren’t the only ones who had a good time with this unique community policing announcement. Locals in Sherwood, Oregon had their own questions for the event… One woman asked, “Wait, are these cops single? Can I bring my own cuffs?” Another local commented, “Every time I try to play this game I get nailed with extra charges like āfleeingā or āresistingā”. Yeah, I hear that.
Some others think the whole thing is in bad taste.
