Beat The Heat At These Free Jersey Shore Splash Parks
There’s a heatwave coming to the Jersey shore this week. We can expect hot and humid conditions all week and this weekend. Maybe a Jersey Shore Splash Park is in your future? Of course, you want to make sure your home’s air conditioning is cued up and ready. You want to make sure the fridge is stocked with cold drinks. Maybe there’s a trip to the movies where the temps are always comfortable. Maybe there’s a trip to the beach or to the bay to catch the ocean breeze. But another great idea to cool down your kids is any one of the local free Jersey shore splash parks.

Jackson Spray Park
The spray park in Jackson, New Jersey is located in the municipal complex on West Veterans Highway. The entire complex includes the police station, library, Jackson Jungle playground and nature trail. The area also features multiple ball fields, a skate park and all weather hockey rink and multiple playgrounds.
The spray park is suitable for young kids and operates on sensor mode. Walk in front of the red fire hydrant to turn the water on. Jackson spray park is open seven days a week, 10a to 6p beginning June 22nd.
Colts Neck Sprayground
Operated by the Monmouth County Park System this spray playground is suitable for young kids and older kids alike. It recently received an upgrade and facelift. It’s located at the Dorbrook Recreation Area on Route 537. Access is free. During weekend hours, registration is required. Weekdays, no registration is required. Manalapan: Recreation Center
The Manalapan Rec Center is a recent addition to the Jersey shore splash park list. Boasting 93 acres, this recreation center has lots of ball fields, basketball and pickleball too. Even a 9 hole frisbee golf course. The splash park has a sensor that activates the water features. It’s located on Rt. 522 / Freehold Road.
Toms River: Pine Lake Park
Positive reviews from the public about Pine Lake Park mention things like “well maintained” and “very nice park with sprinklers”. The spray park area isn’t the most diverse set up we’ve seen but on a hot and steamy day it’s a great way for the kids to cool off. It’s just off Rt 571 near Leisure Village West.
Bayville’s Pirate Jersey Shore Splash Park
This pirate themed splash park is perfect for young kids and older kids too. There’s multiple features and places to get soaked. This splash park is active from Memorial Day through Labor Day every year, The location of this Ocean County park is really awesome as it juts out on a peninsula of the Barnegat Bay. There’s a great view and usually a nice bay breeze to enjoy. Take Harbor Inn Road off Route 9 to a left on Neary Road to Brennan Concourse.
