Brave New World Celebrates 50th Anniversary
Brave Surf and Snow, a Jersey Shore retail tradition for 50 years. That’s no joke, man. They’ve been rocking and rolling the local vibes for a full five decades. Brave New World is celebrating their 50th Anniversary with a cool party with pig roast, bands and raising some funds for local charities. You gotta love local businesses that connect.
That Point Pleasant store is a trip, man. I love how the floor resembles a boardwalk. Isn’t that cool? It’s well worn and weathered, just like a few blocks down on the ocean front. The Toms River and Little Silver locations have a similar cool vibe that has been nurtured for five decades.
Brave has quality gear too, my kids got squared away with their skateboards upstairs at Brave in Point. Their gear lasts too: The shorts I bought there in 1999… I still wear ’em. And someone on the northern Ecuador coast is a proud wearer of my BNW tank top after I traded it for a bucket of ice cold beers while on a surf vacation there back in the early 2010’s.
So to celebrate all of this coolness that they’ve created over the last 50 years, they’re jamming out a birthday Luau with BBQ and live music from local bands and even turning it into a benefit for local charity.
