New Jersey Woman Sneaks Into Tiger Cage At NJ Zoo
Are you for real with this nonsense? Police in New Jersey are seeking info on the woman who jumped the fence of a Bengal Tiger enclosure at a local zoo. That’s right: the video clearly shows her as she sneaks into the tiger cage at a zoo in Cumberland County. The video can be seen below. It’s pretty crazy because she looks like she’s about to be turned into a tragedy.
The zoo in question is the Cohanzick Zoo in Bridgeton. The zoo says that it is New Jersey’s first zoo and advertises itself as a “free” zoo experience, though I’d imagine that donations are suggested.
The video shows that the woman jumps the outer fence easily and the animal is definitely interested in the presence of a human. The animal sniffs multiple times and then paces back and forth. Animal experts suggest that when an animal paces back and forth it shows that they’re unable to control themselves. It appears that this woman is lucky to have left with her limbs intact.
Police in Bridgetown posted a picture of the warning on the fence that the woman jumped to get closer to the Bengal tigers:
Here’s the video:
The video seems a bit inconclusive as to how long the young woman is close to the tiger. Additionally, it looks like there’s a small barrier between the animal and the woman because it doesn’t follow her like it would if there weren’t something blocking it.
The fuzzy condition of the video makes me wonder if there’s a second fence that she’s standing behind, perhaps reaching through to try to touch the Bengal tiger. It’s hard to tell exactly how close she gets to the dangerous animal but it certainly looks like she’s in danger. By the way she pulls up and heads back over the outer fence, one gets the feeling that she knows she’s screwed up.
Police are asking anyone who has knowledge of her to please reach out to them at the Bridgeton Police Department.
