Idiot Crashed His Plane On Purpose For YouTube Views, Could Get 20 Years
Dateline Youtube.
The idiot who crashed his plane on purpose just to get the views on social media could get 20 years in prison.
The clip is still up on youtube. It’s called, “I crashed my plane.” He parachuted out of the plane and then collected the video from cameras he put on the single prop plane. (Scroll down to see it.)
Well. The FAA caught wind of it and it turns out: While it’s quite insane to crash your plane on purpose, it doesn’t seem illegal either.
Though it probably should be.
No, he’s getting years in jail under the charges of “destruction and concealment with the intent to obstruct a federal investigation” because he lied to the FAA about the whole thing when they investigated.
You know how sometimes we ask the question, “Why did they make a law that says you can’t do THAT?”
Well, here we are. Usually the penalty phase of crashing your plane on purpose is, well, DEATH. But I wouldn’t be surprised if at some point in the near future someone passes a law that says it’s illegal too.
