Lake Como Day Will Honor Town’s 100th Anniversary
Lake Como Day is coming! Lake Como, formerly known as South Belmar, will mark it’s 100th anniversary with the annual event on Saturday September 21st.
Lake Como Day will be held from 4pm until 9pm at the actual Lake Como lakefront, which is bounded by North Avenue, South Avenue, and Ocean Avenue. According to the town’s official website, Lake Como Day will be filled with food, fun, and fireworks! There are scheduled to be local vendors, activities for kids such as face painting, and adults like the beer and wine tent! Plus there will be live music! That’s right, the band E-Boro Bandits will be performing live at Lake Como Day!
5K And Fishing Too!
The big 100th anniversary celebration actually begins earlier in the day with the Lake Como 100th Anniversary 5k Run through the town. There will also be a 100th Anniversary Kid’s Fishing Tournament at Lake Como itself! Meanwhile organizers are encouraging residents to bring the whole family, but to please leave their pets home for Lake Como Day.
