NJ Jail Inmate Gets 20 Years For Hitting Man With A Microwave
Hey, Rat Rockers this one is an interesting story because an Essex County inmate was just sentenced to 20 more years behind bars for beating another inmate with a microwave.
His name is Byad Lockett and back in September of 2021, he got into it with another inmate named Jayshawn Boyd and started punching him and kicking his head even getting a broom on him. More information right HERE.

The big weapon was the microwave that Byad used to really Jayshawn out of commission and put him unconscious and left with him all types of brain injuries.
I think Byad that his fellow inmate was some sort of ” Hot Pocket” or frozen pizza, I don’t know what is going through someone’s head to use a microwave as a weapon, and how was the microwave even allowed to be not screwed or riveted down in the jail?
It didn’t take the jury to long find Byad Lockett guilty and rightly so as he was charged with first-degree attempted murder, second-degree aggravated assault, and here is the best charge THIRD DEGREE POSSESSION OF A MICROWAVE FOR UNLAWFUL PURPOSE!

The Judge even had to step in and say ” This beating is just savage and barbaric also inhumane. The judge was not happy with the way Byad Lockett took his sentencing by the way he was smiling and really not giving one care in the world during the video of his actions with the beating in the courtroom. According to records Byad Lockett did say he was sorry and was not on his right medication at that time.
This guy has to do 85% of his 20-year sentence which will be added on his other attempted murder charge that got him 12 years off the bat. The beating took about 2 minutes which is about you set a microwave to heat up most foods.
Let’s hope this guy does not get out and get a job anywhere near a kitchen, who knows what will set him off and go crazy?
