(WATCH) Jersey Rock Video of the Week: This Year’s Comeback “Caged In”
Rocking The Brighton Bar in Long Branch on Friday 7/20!
This Year’s Comeback formed in Toms River back in 2014 with the intention of becoming a Post-Hardcore Act. After finalizing their line-up the group took on more of a Pop Punk/Emo/Alternative sound. The band draws influence from the likes of My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, and Panic At The Disco.
This Year’s Comeback’s first full-length album “Far From Fine, A Garden State Tragedy,” will be released on Friday 7/13. It’s a gutsy day to release anything, but totally jives with the group’s style. Stay tuned to thisyearscomeback.bandcamp.com to score the release!
Don’t miss This Year’s Comeback at The Brighton Bar in Long Branch on Friday 7/20! They’re playing Drive, Kid’s album release show. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Learn more on the facebook event page.
If you would rather not wait until 7/20 to see This Year’s Comeback and don’t mind taking a trip down south, check them out on 7/14 at Stick’s Fest, a 2-day music festival at St. Babs in Cape May! More info HERE.
The video for “Caged In” is a “DIY” music video the band put together. Cutting between shots of the band performing and a side adventure featuring a bear costume it does an excellent job of channeling the energy of the song.
