A Winter Solstice Celebration In Toms River, Plus More Holiday Fun In Ocean County
Cattus Island County Park, at 1170 Cattus Island Boulevard in Toms River, will be hosting a Winter Solstice Celebration Saturday December 9th.
The event takes place from 10am until 2pm in the park and at the Cooper Environmental Center. There will be games, crafts, live animal talks, horse carriage rides, campfire story time, and food. Meanwhile, there will be a special visit from Santa himself, as well as a candy cane nature walk! The horse carriage rides take place between 11am and 2pm. Another fun event leading up to Christmas will take place at Jakes Branch County Park, 1100 Double Trouble Road in Beachwood. It’s their drive through style display, Lighting Up Nature.
This event will be held nightly from December 15th through December 18th, from 6pm until 8pm. Meanwhile, at Harry Wright Park, just off of Lake Road in Manchester, they are getting ready for their own Holiday Celebration! It’s the annual Christmas In The Pines, hosted by Manchester Recreation. The event is scheduled for Saturday December 9th, from 2pm until 7pm. They will have food and craft vendors, firepits and smores, as well as photos with Santa.
Furthermore, there will be live performances on stage, free make and take crafts for the kids and hot cocoa. In the evening, there will be a Tree Lighting, hayrides to their lighted walking trails featuring live performances by the High School and Middle School Drama Club, the High School Chorus and Band and so much more!!
