For those of us who are ignorant...What the hell is an Okie Burger??

According to their website, all of Okie's meats are cut fresh and high in quality. Their cold cut lineup boasts big names like Boars Head, Thuman's , and Dietz and Watson. Meanwhile, the famous Okie Burger, who's name is trademarked,  is fresh ground everyday and is made from the finest quality cattle available. Furthermore, Okie’s site goes on to say that the Okie Burger is a 90% lean sirloin burger, making it perfect for grilling. Okie's Butcher Shop will be reopening for the season in March.

Here's a little bit of Stewart's Restaurant History.

According to the company's website, in 1924, Frank Stewart set out to develop the world's best-tasting root beer, which he intended to sell to supplement his income as a school teacher. With secret recipes in hand, he soon opened his first Stewart's Drive-In, and an empire was born. Meanwhile, as of 2021, there are 30 Stewarts locations in the US. Quite of few of them, you may have noticed are right here at the Jersey Shore. These include Howell, Point Pleasant Beach, Seaside Heights, and of course our friends with the Okie Burgers, in Tuckerton. Finally, according to their Facebook page, the Tuckerton Stewarts will reopen for the season on April 1st, with Okie Burgers on the menu. No foolin'!
