Thank You Toms River Brewing For A Great Time!
Our Rat Radio live broadcast at Toms River Brewing was this past Friday, and it was by far one of the most enjoyable live remotes we’ve had post Pandemic!
We brought the Rat Pack, our remote broadcast equipment, games and giveaways to the brewery, located at 1540 Route 37, not having worked there before.
The venue was quite accommodating…
The setup could not have been more conducive to welcoming the crowds that were heading into both the taproom inside the brewery and the large tent they had erected. Everyone was there for the New Jersey Devils viewing party later that evening, as the Devils skated in Buffalo against the Sabers. It was a huge game, with a post season birth on the line. We set up outside the entrance so everyone heading in saw the Rat first! The mood was festive and merry, as the beers flowed both inside and out. When the food truck showed up, the excitement went to another level! Mr. Q’s Island Eats had everyone satisfied with their pork and chicken kababs in their signature bbq sauce, and more! The Devils “Woo Crew” was even on hand.
The beer was fantaSTICK !
We were all there not just to watch the Devils, but to celebrate Toms River Brewing’s own Devils Stick Toss beer! It’s the official beer of the New Jersey Devils. As Brew Master Matt told me during our on air interview, the team was looking for a local Jersey brewery to come up with the perfect beer to sell at the Rock during Devils home games, but all around the area as the official beer of the team and their fans. Well they found TBR, and the rest is history. Matt said TRB took the name from Jack Hughes triumphant stick toss into the stands after a victory last year. It’s become a defining moment for these new young Devils and their fans, who for the first time in many seasons are having, pardon the pun, one Hell of a year!

You gotta check out the TRB Taproom!
Inside the surprisingly spacious TRB Taproom, the crowd was large and excited to watch the upcoming game on the big screen tv. The more than 16 varieties of beers were flowing at a fast pace, and there was a real “Happy Hour” vibe to the whole room. I noticed some flyers on the wall indicating that this was not the only evening that Toms River Brewing has entertainment. They host trivia nights, live music, keg tap tastings and more.
Do yourself a flavor, head to Toms River Brewing one of these days, and have some of their great beers in a fantastic welcoming atmosphere. Check out the photos of Fridays event below!
