Record Release Show at Harper’s Pub on Saturday 8/19!
Distorted Sun is a four-piece Rock outfit from Marlton that blends elements of Grunge, Metal, Blues and Funk. Their latest single “Under Thumb” has a real Soundgarden feel to it, which makes a lot of sense considering the band lists the group fronted by the late, great Chris Cornell as one of their influences. The band also takes inspiration from Alice In Chains, Black Sabbath, Tool, Mad Season, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Queens Of The Stone Age, Red Hot Chili Peppers and others. Their sound would definitely fit in on the Seattle scene of the late 80’s/early 90’s as well as on Rat Radio.
Distorted Sun’s debut EP “Under A Burning Sky” will be released on Saturday 8/19. The band will rock a record release show at Harper’s Pub in Clementon the same day. Joining them on the bill are Kid Felix, Shadowplay, and Holy Smoke. While the show is 21+, there is NO COVER that evening. The party begins at 8 pm. More info HERE.
Distorted Sun’s video for “Under Thumb” was directed by The Screaming Frog. The whole experience takes place in one room, cutting back in forth between shots of the band playing under a number of color changing lights that cut through the darkness. The video provides an excellent look at the band in action and a preview of what to expect at Harper’s Pub on 8/19.
