(WATCH) Jersey Rock Video of the Week: Lauren Gill “I Don’t Care”
“Good Try” EP Out Now on Moto Records!
Lauren Gill is a 13-year-old student of Lakehouse Music Academy in Asbury Park. She’s also a recording artist on Lakehouse’s Moto Records Label. Her song-writing and performance skills are well beyond her years. That may be due to the fact that she’s been honing her abilities since the age of 8. She may be young but she’s definitely not inexperienced.
Lauren Gill is a member of The Lakehouse Jr. Pros and also has her own band Dress Code. She has performed at venues including The Stone Pony, The Saint, The Two River Theater, House Of Independents, The Asbury Lanes, and the Prudential Center. She has even shared the stage with Bruce Springsteen.
Lauren Gill was recently featured on The Jersey Rock Weekly Podcast. Check out the episode HERE.
Lauren Gill wrote the “I Don’t Care” when she was 10 years old. An earlier version of the tune appeared on her first EP “Good Try,” which she released at the age of 11. The finalized version is featured in Lauren’s debut music video. “I Don’t Care” is about self empowerment and aims to reach anyone who has been bullied. The video was shot at The Asbury Park Music Foundation and features Lauern Gill’s band Dress Code.
