As we hopefully wind down the Winter with some milder temperatures, Irish eyes turn to March. Of course, March is for all things St. Patty's! One of the first Irish celebrations of the year at the Jersey Shore will be the Downtown Toms River Irish Festival, on Saturday, March 2nd.

The event is scheduled to take place on Washington Street in Downtown Toms River between noon and 6pm. Join The Downtown Toms River Business Improvement District for this, the 2nd annual Irish Festival. The street will be filled with vendors, handcrafters, and live entertainment. Meanwhile, Local businesses and restaurants will be open on the street. Free Admission & Free Parking will be available downtown during the event. Furthermore, the local downtown brewery, Battle River Brewing, as well as the Garden State Distillery will be open on the street for some lively seasonal refreshments! Here's A Little Bit About The Downtown Toms River Business Improvement District.

According to their website, the Downtown Toms River BID is a not-for-profit organization. It is specially designated to promote and implement the economic revitalization of the Downtown Toms River business district. Furthermore, the BID's goals are to preserve its cultural, historical, tourist, and civic interests. Meanwhile, accessing public and private resources to improve business profitability and property values. Downtown Toms River is managed by the Toms River Business Development Corporation, a not-for-profit corporation whose members are elected by the commercial property owners and business owners of the district.

Meanwhile Downtown Toms River Irish Festival is just the first of many fun and exciting events planned in 2024 for the Downtown Toms River area. Among the great events are, Friday Nights Dining Out under the stars, to Classic Car Shows, Street Fairs, Festivals, and more. Best Rat Rock Bands: STP, VH, ZEP, PEARL JAM, FOOS, PEPPERS,AC/DC Favorite New Bands: Glorious Sons, Rival Sons, Dirty Honey Most Embarrassing Moment: the moment my mother reads this shit! Best Day: I know a lot of folks say this, but it’s true: the day my little girl Jynell and my boy Big D were born! Next to that, it would have to be the day I was baked on earth day in Central Park and met Keefer Sutherland…baked too, I believe.
