Free Fireworks Show After Truck Carrying Fireworks Crashes In Canada
Motorists on a major highway in Canada were treated to a free gigantic fireworks show after an accident ignited a bunch of fireworks that was being transported in a trailer pulled by a pick up truck. All the fireworks blew up at once, in a giant fireworks display in Canada. None of it planned, of course.
The accident happened at night and it stopped traffic on both sides of the major highway. Once the fireworks started, they didn’t stop until all of them were blown to bits. The fireworks “show” lasted over an hour as people watched in a mix of delight and freakish amazement and even a bit of horror. First responders had no choice but to stand by and wait until the explosions ended. They also kept an eye to make sure nothing in the area caught fire because of all this insanity.
Some drivers ducked for cover. Other drivers held cell phones out of their windows. The local news covered the events as you can see from the videos below. This fireworks display could be seen for miles around. Not much was left of the pick up truck as it was turned into a burned out shell of itself. The trailer that held the fireworks basically was a pile of nothing. The truck that caused the accident had veered off the road.
The accident and ensuing fireworks display happened on Highway 1, near Hope, Canada. The town is about 2 hours drive from the major Canadian city of Vancouver in British Columbia. The accident happened on the Trans Canada Highway which runs clear across Canada. It’s the Route 80 of Canada. According to reports, a tractor trailer crashed into a pick-up truck. The pick up truck had it’s own trailer and that was filled with fireworks of all kinds. Mortars, rockets, M80’s, Roman Candles, looks like just about every kind of pyrotechnic known to mankind was in that trailer!
Thankfully, no major injuries were caused by the accident or the giant fireworks display in Canada that happened by accident on today’s No Sweat News.
