Nope, you're not reading that title wrong, a Jersey Shore hotel is the number one hotel in America. According to USA Today, the newspaper ranks Madison Resort Wildwood Crest in Wildwood Crest, NJ. The Wildwood Crest Hotel opened last May. Most readers were led to the hotel's luxury and relaxation for its great rating. The hotel is on the site where the former Oceanview Motel and Royal Hawaiian was once located. Back in 2023, the company purchased the neighbor Royal Hawaiian Motel, combining the two properties. Madison Resorts invested $54 million in the project.

The Madison Resort Wildwood Crest which is located at 7201 Ocean Ave, does have a lot to offer, such as the resort features over 200 guest rooms, two pools, two restaurants, and beach access. Plus they will host your weddings and things of that nature. The hotel did have this to say " We couldn’t have done this without you—our team, guests, friends, family, and the entire Wildwood Crest and Cape May County community. Your votes, support, and encouragement have meant the world to us. As our President, Dan Alicea, so perfectly said: “This project has given new life to these towers, created jobs, and provided a place where families can create lasting memories for years to come. We are deeply grateful for your support.”

There is a funny story behind the Madison Resort Wildwood Crest, that I have to share with you. If you don't know already, I ( Gotts ) am an ordained minister and have done more than a handful of weddings in the past. Well, I was asked to marry a beautiful couple and the wedding was to take place here. Once the future bride and groom saw this place and how wonderful it was, they said "I don't think Gotts will look right in this place, it is way too nice to have him doing our wedding here. No offense Gotts." After hearing this news and looking at some of the pictures of the establishment, I said "NONE TAKEN." LOL!

According to Gotts, he was thrown out of home school in Monroe Township. To keep up with his own legend, Gotts likes writing about wacky local news that happens – such as pepperoni vandals.
