Updated at 2:28pm: Target on Route 70 in Brick, N.J. has reopened after a bomb threat was determined to be unfounded. In a statement on the department's Facebook page, Brick Township Police Chief David Forrester said the store was closed as authorities responded to "an unverified threat that came to us today through a reputable news agency."
According to the Brick Township Police Department and the Facebook page, "Overheard in Brick" the Target stores in Brick, Ocean Township, Middletown, Manalapan, and Marlboro have been evacuated due to alleged bomb threats, and are currently closed. Police are on the scene and have asked residents to avoid the area.
