One Of The Best Services In Ocean County Came To My House And Did A Fantastic Job
Last time I had my dryer vent cleaned was during Covid lockdown. My friend Vinny, a jack of all trades, and a true master of most, cleaned my dryer vent back in June of 2020. Any time I had a household issue, whether it be a loose hinge on my hall closet, or a poorly connected pipe to my dishwasher, it was Vinny Milin to the rescue. Unfortunately, Vinny and his wife Carol (one of my best friends in the world), moved out of New Jersey to South Carolina, so no more Vinny.
I’ve had some bad experiences in the past with local service companies either lying to me about problems that didn’t exist or overcharging me for their services. Sometimes we are at the mercy of these individuals due to the issue needing immediate repair. Now that Vinny is gone, I had to carefully research every service company thoroughly to make sure any home repair I needed was taken care of by a reputable service person and company.
A few years ago, I had an issue with my electric garage door. The first company I called kept transferring me to different dispatchers before they settled on dispatcher #4, we’ll call her “Karen.” A fitting name for a person who should have never been hired based on her lack of customer service skills. “Karen” gave me a hard time regarding the company’s availability. She was unfriendly and unwilling to work with me based on service call times that were convenient for me. She basically said, “These are the hours we’re available, take it or leave it.” Ok, Karen! I moved on to the second choice which turned out to be the best choice.
The guy came on time and not only fixed the issue, but he went above and beyond by tightening loose screws and inspecting the whole unit to make sure it was safe to operate. Now that’s 5-star service!
If you own a company, PLEASE make sure you hire people who care! They are the face of your business; they will help determine your future reputation.
Last week while I was drying a load of laundry, I noticed condensation building up on the side of my washing machine and the wall next to it. I knew it was a dryer vent issue. I could have moved the dryer myself and try to fix it, but I wasn’t confident that I’d do it properly.
All of a sudden, I kept getting pop up ads on Facebook for Dryer Vent Squad of Ocean County. I read all the reviews which were all positive, and when I noticed the names of people I knew writing these reviews, I realized that this wasn’t a scam.
I went on their website and promptly made an appointment for the next day and was given a price for the repair. Not an estimate, an actual price. Aaron Fried, one of the owners of the franchise showed up at my house on time and ready to work.
Aaron was clearly raised with a solid work ethic. He was personable, knowledgeable, and informative. I got to know a little bit about him. He was an electrician from Brooklyn who moved his family to Toms River to make a better life. He told me about his children, their schooling, his parents, and his decision to buy into the dryer vent franchise.
He’s a family man who loves to serve his community and it showed. He came to my home with all kinds of equipment. A vacuum, a camera that was attachable by adding a bunch of extension rods to look deep into the dryer vent, a drill, and a few other necessary tools.
I was fascinated by how focused he was on the job at hand. He explained everything he was doing step by step. My dryer vent wasn’t installed properly, so after he was done thoroughly cleaning the vent, he secured it so that if I ever must move the machine it won’t come loose.
He gave me his card and I gave him a check for the exact price I was given in writing. NO Lies, No Scams, and NO B.S.
His company will call on me again in a year to check my vent. I do about 2 to 3 loads of laundry a week and he told me that I may not have to have the vent cleaned out next year at this time, but he will come and check anyway. I like this man! I love his work ethic, his honesty, and the love he has for his family and community.
I have a ranch home with a first-floor vent and with tax, it cost me $158.87. To avoid the 3% credit card fee, I paid by check.
By the way, clogged dryer vents are the leading cause of house fires, so please get your vents cleaned on a regular basis. Get in touch with Aaron Fried and his people online at: https://dryerventsquad.com/ocean-county/?fbclid=IwAR2csD0OEMDr4Tdn1tPs_dghJ5yqec0kzoqB69V2jsxo-XIaL-5gQiDFAvE
