Jersey Rock Feature of the Week: The Electric Ballroom 20th Anniversary Show
Rocking House Of Independents in Asbury Park on Sunday 12/30!
It has been 20 years since The Electric Ballroom first took to the airwaves on 95.9 The Rat. The show has existed almost as long as the radio station itself and has come to be regarded as a Rat Radio institution. Every Sunday at 8:00 pm Host Keith Roth offers an eclectic ride featuring some of the most obscure and bizarre stories from the people who make the music. Donnas, Dandy’s, and Dictators have been known to stop by but they’re not the only music makers who have entered the Ballroom’s Bat Cave. The likes of Joey Ramone, John Paul Jones, David Johansen and many, many more have all jumped on board for this one-of-a-kind weekly experience.
The Electric Ballroom will mark 2 decades of destroying the airwaves with a stacked show at the intimate House Of Independents in Asbury Park on Sunday 12/30! “New Years Eve, Eve,” as Keith Roth calls it, will feature a headlining performance from Red Bank’s own Monster Magnet, as well as performances from Blue Coop, featuring members of Blue Oyster Cult and The Alice Cooper Group, The Ribeye Brothers, The Naughty Clouds and Keith Roth’s own band Frankenstein 3000 as well as special guest performances!
Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door and can be purchased now at houseofindependents.com!
Tune to Jersey Rock on 95.9 The Rat Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:30 pm for a preview of The Electric Ballroom’s 20th Anniversary Show. Keith Roth will join us in-studio each night as we rock tracks from Frankenstein 3000, The Naughty Clouds, The Ribeye Brothers, and Monster Magnet!
