Reporter Bob Makin of Makin Waves is back with another great show. The 2nd Annual Makin Waves Hunger Benefit rocks the Asbury Park Boardwalk back-to-back nights at back-to-back venues this Friday and Saturday! Langosta Lounge which flows seamlessly into The Asbury Park Yacht Club will host the event that seeks to raise funds and collect canned good to help feed the needy this Holiday season.
The Makin Waves Hunger Benefit directly aids Langosta Lounge’s non-profit organization Food For Thought, which provides holiday dinners to the homeless and hungry each year. While admission to the event is free there will be donation boxes for both monetary and canned food/non-perishable food contribution in front of each stage. Each item donated to the food drive will be redeemed with one raffle ticket for the 50/50.
There will be a silent auction throughout the weekend featuring artwork from Makin Waves Resident Artist Arroyo Art Studio, gift baskets from Bond Street Complex, The Brew TEA Spot – Cheryl Makin, Steeped Tea Consultant, and Russo Music Asbury Park, gift certificates and T-shirts from Langosta Lounge, Pop’s Garage Mexican Cantina, MOGO – Asbury Park, and Silverball Museum Arcade, and a signed book and T-shirt from Danny Clinch Transparent Gallery.
