Jersey Rock Band of the Week: Wynward
Rocking The Brighton Bar in Long Branch on 7/14!
Hailing from Brick in the heart of the Rat Rock Nation, Wynward put out a sound that totally reflects their Hard Rock roots. The band’s influences include Weezer, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, and Metallica. Wynward combines those influences to create their own original brand of high-energy Hard Alternative Rock.
Wynward closed out The Jersey Rock Showcase series with an awesome performance at The River Rock on the their home turf of Brick back in March. Their driving, powerful performance made for a fitting finale to a great concert series. They are band that are not to be missed live.
Wynward will rock The Brighton Bar in Long Branch on Friday July 14. They’re on the bill with Tsunami Bomb, The Mighty Nothings, The Brothers Union, Psychodynamic, and The Breakout Year. It’s an all ages show. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door and are available HERE.
Wynward rocks Jersey Rock on 95.9 The Rat this Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11:30 pm. Bassist Nick Abatemarco and Singer/Guitarist Jim Mill will call in to the show each night to discuss the band’s upcoming performance as we spin some great tracks.
Beyond July 14, Wynward will rock Chickie’s and Pete’s in Egg Harbor Township on July 22. They also have a residency at The White Sands in Pt. Pleasant. You can catch them there for an acoustic set every Friday from 7pm to 11pm.
