Monmouth County’s New Beach Report Website Is Up
Getting a head start on their beach safety message is Monmouth County who just proclaimed to be the “first county in the United States a Beach Public Safety Dashboard”. The website is officially called, “SAFE BEACH DAY” dot com.
The claim of “first” might be a stretch because there’s a few beaches in Ocean County available on the website too… but, whatever. This is about beach safety and we’re all about that.
The county website will give updates about local beach conditions… things like tides, dangerous surf conditions, location of potential ocean wildlife, temps and wave height.
From the county commissioner, Thomas Arnone: “The introduction of the SafeBeachDay.com Dashboard… is sure to provide our County’s beach visitors a better experience for their trips to Monmouth County.”
One thing that’s cool that we’re seeing it that there’s local beach and surf cams embedded in each of the shore town’s pages which is pretty convenient if you’re hunting for safe spots to bring the kids or gnarly spots to find something fun to ride. Most of those cams are already available, but it’s kinda nice to have them here as well.
