You will always hear me talking about how much I love Summertime, and how much I love the beach and the boardwalk (all year round). It’s one of the main reasons that I have made the Jersey Shore my home for the last 25 years or so.

If you know me personally, you know how much I love boating as soon as the weather gets nice. I do talk a lot about it on the radio as well.  I’m a big fan of meeting up with my friends at Tices Shoal for a relaxing day floating on the water. It’s a great way to beat the summer heat.

Another great thing about boating on the Jersey Shore is all the awesome restaurants and bars to get to by boat.
Nothing like jumping on the boat and heading out to get something to eat and to grab a few beverages.  Best of all…You’ll avoid the Jersey Shore traffic

Pretty much all the bars and restaurants on the water are open all year round and have nightly entertainment every night during the Summer where you will find an awesome band or DJ.

For a good time, check out these Jersey Shore Bars and Restaurants

  • B2 Bistro + Bar - Bayville

Formerly “Waters Edge”, this “casual cool”  bar is said to feature an eclectic wine list, a continuously rotating selection of draft beers, and a raft of expertly crafted cocktails. It’s rugged, yet sophisticated.

  • The Boatyard - 2304 East Bay Ave, Manahawkin

Here at the Boatyard in Manahawkin is said to be “relaxed and casual”, living for   “glassy” boat rides with family, friends, and even pets Arrive by water or land. Then gather at The Boatyard for casual food and drinks!

  • Captain's Inn Dockside Bar - 422 Lacey Road, Forked River

“Enter as guests, leave as friends” That’s the motto of Captain’s Inn, a fine dining establishment, banquet hall, and season tiki bar. Keep in mind, Thursday is “Prime Rib Thursday”!

  • Mj's Restaurant Bar & Grill - 905 Bay Boulevard, Bayville

Found in Bayville, this establishment offers a cool blend of burgers, pizza, sandwiches, sushi, dessert, wine, and martinis!

  • Sun Harbor Seafood & Grill - 451 East Bay Ave, Barnegat

Nothing better than family-owned and operated! The Fieramosca family has been operating Mariners Marina in Barnegat since 1975, but they’ve always wanted to own a restaurant. Shortly after Superstorm Sandy, after a neighboring marina was severely damaged, the family purchased the property which has now become Sun Harbor Seafood & Grill. Intending to serve the freshest seafood, it’s nearly impossible to find something on the menu you would not enjoy.

  • The Waterfront - 361 East Lacey Road, Forked River

Formerly Latitudes, The Waterfront is located at the heart of Forked River, they offer indoor/outdoor dining, special event services, live entertainment, and so much more. Plus they have fantastic food & drink specials!

  • Water Street Bar and Grill - Robbins Parkway, Toms River

Not only is the food amazing, but the raw bar, drinks, and upcoming live music calendar are fantastic to boot!

  • Wharfside Patio Bar - 101 Channel Drive, Point Pleasant Beach

“Serving Jersey since 1963”, when it comes to their food, one word comes to mind, FRESH. Their lobsters are off-loaded and kept on-premise in temp-controlled water tanks until ready to serve. There IS a difference when it’s from dock to dish, and you can tell!
