VIDEO: Conan O’Brien Learns to Step Dance, Tours the Guinness Brewery
Conan O’Brien has highlighted his Irish heritage on many occasions throughout his talk show hosting career, but these two moments are easily among the most memorable.
O’Brien filmed a series of shows in Chicago in 2012, and while in the Windy City, he filmed a segment at the city’s Irish American Heritage Center where he took a step dancing lesson. Between highlighting the Center’s six different bars and accidentally kicking a young girl in the face while attempting to step dance, O’Brien created a hysterical clip that has been viewed on YouTube over 10 million times.
Later in 2012, O’Brien would head to Dublin, Ireland where he would film a segment at the Guinness Brewery, which gives out a complimentary pint of Guinness when you take a tour. O’Brien opens the video by saying, “Everyone thinks I’m here to shoot a funny remote segment, but actually, I’m just here for free Guinness.” What happens next is O’Brien becoming frustrated at having to go through the entire brewery tour in order to get his pint, and along the way, he clearly (and hilariously) annoys his tour guide. Nothing but comedic perfection here!
