We were all bummed when the Avon Pavilion closed down. 33 years in the restaurant biz will get you a dedicated fanbase… Such a great spot to pop in for a quick bite. It was a cool spot that you could hit easily if you timed the traffic right.
But one thing we all know is: nothing is forever so we’ve been keeping our eye open on the space looking for a sign as to what might be happening in the future. Well, good news is: it’s definitely a restaurant. There’s been a flurry of activity lately as the construction goes down on the spot.
The Avon Pavilion was bought by a local restaurant family. Liam and Carmen Maloney bought the spot in Avon. If that’s ringing a bell then you may recall they own Amelia’s in Spring Lake.
One of our Facebook friends was walking the boards in Avon By The Sea and noticed that they’re ready to go in the new spot… The new name is: The Promenade.
So far, we’ve heard good things… but we can’t find an online menu yet… could be that they’re still working out the menu. From the looks of the pics below they’re still hiring!
